nice weekend

It was so nice to get out of our cramped little apartment for a few days! I feel like we got something accomplished too. We cleaned out "Taryn's" room (my old darkroom) at Grammy and Gramps and then painted it yellow. Quite a task to go from totally black to bright yellow, one gallon primer, one gallon white and two gallons of yellow! It looks so bright and sunny now! Taryn also got to spend some time with her grandma ruth, that day. SO much easier to get a lot accomplished with her out of the house for a short while! I read somewhere "taking care of kids is laughably easier, it's getting anything else done that's impossible" While Taryn is not even close to easy to take of some days/weeks, it is definately impossible to do anything else.
While everything else was fun this weekend the highlight was going to a play in Council Bluffs at the Mid-America center. My mom got herself and I free tickets so we took Tee along. It was Magic Treehouse and pretty fun. Taryn did awesome! She made it through all but the last two minutes of the two hour production and enjoyed it. She laughed when the dragons came out and devoured cotton candy. It's great getting to share all these new adventures with her! Until we have something else exciting to write about take care!
